On 10-13 December EUROECHO-2008 was held in Lyon, France.
EUROECHO 2008 was the twelfth Annual Meeting of the European Association of Echocardiography, a Registered Branch of the ESC, organized in cooperation with the Working Group on Echocardiography of the French Society of Cardiology.
This year EUROECHO attracted a great number of participants – more than 3000 people from different countries, eager to share their experiences and knowledge with colleagues from around the world. EUROECHO 2008 was focus on recent advances in echocardiography and other imaging modalities as well as the classical teaching courses, workshops and hands-on sessions.
Within the Congress the International Echo Area and National Societies meeting were held where the echo societies and working groups from different countries presented their activity and shared the experience. At this meeting Russia was represented by the Russian Chapter of the International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound (Chairman Prof. Vadim Kuznetsov, Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center).
Also Prof. Kuznetsov took part in the Editorial Board meeting of the European Journal of Echocardiography which was held at the first day of the Congress. In October 2008 Prof. Kuznetsov was invited to join the Editorial Board of this prestigious scientific journal.
